Climate change, deforestation, extreme weather, pandemics, exploitation of the planet’s resources be they natural, environmental or human, and mass extinctions, are indicative of an assault on the Earth, and with any crime it is necessary to consider the nature of the victim, the relationship to the accused and what is the appropriate charge? Fundamental to such an exercise is detective work, marshalling the facts and gathering the evidence. As with all the best crime stories the starting point must be… follow the money. And make art.
